Shipping policy
Wades Books ships from the United Kingdom to customers in the United States. This policy explains our delivery options, timescales, and the terms that apply to shipping your order.
Delivery options and rates
Free Tracked Delivery — Free on every order, with no minimum spend. Estimated delivery 7–21 business days from dispatch.
Priority Tracked Delivery — Estimated delivery 3–5 business days from dispatch. $40 for orders up to 11 lb; $60 for orders over 11 lb. Rates are calculated automatically at checkout based on the weight of your order.
All delivery estimates are given in business days (Monday to Friday, excluding UK public holidays) and run from the date of dispatch, not the date the order is placed.
Order processing
Orders are picked and dispatched within 1–2 business days. You will receive an order confirmation email immediately after purchase, followed by a dispatch email containing your tracking number.
Destinations
We ship to all 50 U.S. states, including Alaska and Hawaii, as well as APO and FPO addresses.
Tracking
Every order is sent with tracking. Tracking information is emailed at dispatch and may take 24–48 hours to show its first scan. Once a package arrives in the United States it is transferred to a domestic carrier for final delivery.
Split shipments
Orders containing multiple items may be dispatched in more than one package and may arrive on different days. Where an order is split, tracking is provided for each package.
Customs, duties, and import charges
Orders shipped into the United States may be subject to import duties, taxes, or customs processing fees. These charges are set and collected by U.S. Customs and Border Protection or its appointed carriers. They are not collected by Wades Books and are not included in the price shown at checkout. Any such charges are the responsibility of the recipient.
Shipping addresses
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address. We are unable to redirect a package once it has been dispatched. Packages returned to us as undeliverable due to an incorrect or incomplete address may be subject to a reshipping fee before they are sent again.
Delays, loss, and damage
International delivery may occasionally be delayed by customs processing or carrier disruption, which is outside our control. If your order has not arrived within 21 business days of dispatch, please contact us and we will open an investigation with the carrier.
Please inspect your order on arrival. If any item arrives damaged, contact us within 14 days of delivery with photographic evidence and we will arrange a replacement or refund.
